First of all, we need to know what Teflon Coating is. Actually, Teflon Coating is a protective layer over the paint along with giving it more gloss and shine. Teflon is a chemical form of synthetic fluoropolymer that is non-sticky in nature and reduces friction on which it is applied.
Teflon Coating is also known as paint protection coating and that is why it is recommended by most of the dealerships & car detailing shops to ensure the longevity of the paint and it also enhances the paint’s ability to prevent corrosion or wear and tear in extreme temperature condition.
Teflon Coating Process:
- Wash car exterior with shampoo to get rid of any dust particles.
- Car exterior is wiped properly & dried completely.
- Teflon Coating is applied over the car body in a lubricated form.
- Wait for the coating to dry completely, then the car is polished by a buffing machine to give it a glossy finish.
- Then the process of the buffing continues for 30 minutes
- If it done properly, it removes the minor scratches from the car exterior.

The most apparent advantage that applying of Teflon coating is that the paint of your car will have a highly attractive shine as soon the process of applying it is completed.
Also, unless the coating of Teflon isn’t applied properly, even the minor scratches in the paint will disappear.
